Deb Hansen has a BA in Mathematics Education from Brigham Young University, Master of Science in Food Science and Nutrition from Framingham State College, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Utah. She also has an Administrative Endorsement from Utah State University.

Deb was born and raised in a small town outside Boston, Massachusetts. She taught Math, Chemistry and Science for 11 years and then worked as a Child Nutrition Program Senior Specialist at the Utah State Office of Education for 4 years. She also worked as the Director of Child Nutrition, Public Relations, Procurement and Transportation for the Ogden City School District. After she retired, she came to the Northern Utah Academy for Math, Engineering and Science (NUAMES) as Director of Business Operations.  

Deb and her husband Lynn enjoy traveling, hiking, golfing and skiing.  She has two grandchildren who are military children, and she has a special place in her heart for these students!  

Deb loves the charter school environment and the opportunity that we provide for families to have a choice in their children's education!
