We Are Crew, Not Passengers

We Are Crew, Not Passengers.

 Building community in every classroom.

LLA believes that every student should feel like they belong.  Crew isn't just a concept—it's a fundamental aspect of our school culture that extends into every classroom.

Here's why Crew is so important to us:

Classroom Crews

In our school, each classroom functions as its own Crew—a tight-knit community where students support and uplift one another. Whether it's collaborating on projects, solving problems together, or simply lending a listening ear, Crew creates a sense of unity and belonging that transcends grade levels.

Character-building Curriculum

Our curriculum integrates the Flyer Creed into daily discussions, focusing on our values such as integrity, respect, resilience, and community. Through character-building exercises, students learn how to navigate conflicts peacefully and embody the principles of leadership.

Creates a Culture of Belonging

Crew is more than just a group of individuals—it's a shared commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity, respect, and empathy. By embracing the principles of Crew, we ensure that every student feels valued, heard, and supported in their academic and personal journey.

Empowers Students

Through Crew, students have a platform to express themselves, share their ideas, and contribute to their classroom community. From weekly Circle-Ups to collaborative projects, Crew empowers students to take ownership of their learning and make a positive impact on their peers.

Builds Lifelong Connections

The bonds formed within Crew extend far beyond the classroom, creating lasting connections that endure throughout the school year and beyond. Through shared experiences, challenges, and triumphs, students forge friendships and memories that will stay with them long after they leave our halls.

The Flyer Creed

01

Community

We make meaningful connections and use teamwork to create a strong sense of belonging.

We make sure all members of our Flyer community feel valued, welcome, and empowered.

02

Respect

Respect is at the heart of all interactions at LLA.

We treat others with empathy and courtesy. We value differences. We create an atmosphere of respect that nurtures positive relationships.

03

Integrity

Integrity is a part of everything we do.

All Flyers are held to the standard of acting ethically and honorably. We are honest, trustworthy, and make responsible decisions.

04

Resilience

We are resilient.

We view setbacks as opportunities for growth. We persevere through challenges. We have a growth mindset. We bounce back, adapt, and overcome obstacles, resulting in academic and personal success.
